This Is Not Even F*cking Funny

The most disturbing show in the history of TV, TLC's "Toddlers and Tiaras," introduced a new toddler last night. Here we have Mia, whose shtick is to strip off an angel costume -- yes, strip -- to reveal a gold leotard with pointy cone Madonna-esque bra cups while "dancing" to "Like A Prayer." Mia is two years old. I think my favorite part of the routine is when Mia stops dancing and her mom comes up on stage and manually shakes Mia's hips. I mean, when your two year-old refuses to gyrate inappropriately on stage, a parent has to take action. And there's nothing I hate more than a kid who refuses to be sexualized. What a brat.

Hey, Mia's mom. What's it like being a negligent, disgusting, pathetically desperate asshole? JUST WONDERING. Grrrrrr.

For more on the terrifying trend of sexualizing children, read this. To read about how it affects teens, read this.

  3. Wow. Craziness.

But I do have to say that it's not "Like a Virgin," it's "Like a Prayer."

  9. dude, theres gotta be child protection laws against this; no joke. The mother treats her child as her own living american-girl-doll, instead of as a future human being

  10. The Father in the second half of the video is even worse. What are these people thinking?

  11. The mother here and the mother's in the crowd see a cute little skit by a cute little girl. The people disapproving of this see something completely different. I'm pretty sure what scares me more.

  12. Is this for real?!?

  13. Children are ALREADY human beings (not "future human beings"), which makes this all the more disturbing.

  17. The parents should be put behind bars and the kids should be put in homes where they can be kids....not doing this!

  18. This is the most disturbing shit i have ever seen let kids be kids. Now a days if you punish your kids the state will take them from you but its ok to have your kids get waxed or tanning. these parents should be shot...........

  19. I actually watch this show because I'm disturbingly drawn to it and I'm a mom of 4 who would never have done that to my daughters but it is interesting people watch but it's very disturbing. This episode with Mia was disturbing but watch a whole season of this show-I watched it last season too. this is a whole culture of people who do this, and spray tan toddlers, wax their eyebrows, use "flippers" (sort of like dentures) to cover missing teeth, hair extensions and wigs, and push their children to do this, all the while saying how much the kids love it! I think watching the whole season is actually more disturbing than this one clip. I watch and I think they shouldn't be doing this but what can we do to stop them? You can't outlaw stupidity. Until there is some research done we can't even prove it's damaging. And our opinions don't really count, only REAL scientific proof from psychologists so someone needs to start paying attention to it!
